Fender have introduced a number of high quality acoustic basses over the last few years, but this one is likely to be the cherry on the low-end wooden cake. Al previous acoustic basses sported the 2 & 2 tuner setup on the headstock, but what is immediately different about the Kingman is that its rockin’ a Jazz bass style neck, tuners all 4 on one one side.
The Fender Jazz bass is well known for its slimline neck with helps provide more playing speed and a little more dexterity to the smaller handed bass man and the Kingman is the very first Fender bass to use this Jazz bass neck.
Features include single cut away for upper frets, fenders special X-bracing, a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides, 20 fret rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge with compensated saddles, Fishman® Aero™ active onboard preamp with tuner and tone controls, block inlays and a vintage-inspired gold pick guard.
Nice lookin’ piece of kit…
