Former Nirvana bassist running for public office

I imagine there are very few who’ve kept tabs on the former bass player for Nirvana since 1994.

Well, here’s a nugget of info you may not know about, Krist Novoselic is running for public office in Wahkiakum County County -  Clerk of Wahkaikum County to be exact.

Like me, i guess there are many who will have pre-conceptions of the present Novoselic as an over-the-hill grunge rocker, but we would be wrong. He is described as highly intelligent and articulate and is reported to really want to make a difference in Wahkiakum County. He’s a column writer for Seattle Weekly, and lets face it, if The Terminator can be governor of California, then surely Krist can deal with the County Clerk job.

Some will remember him launching his bass in the air and not catching it above his head on the MTV video music awards some years back, resulting in what I can only imagine, was as a proper, hardcore face ache. Makes me wince when I think about it…even now.
