Bassist for Green Day Mike Dirnt has, with the help of vegan footwear company Macbeth, ahem….designed his own trainers.
The shoe contains no animal products whatsoever and inplace of leather it uses a synthetic patent and canvas for the upper and has a rubber sole.
There are a few different versions of the shoe and you will be taxed around 70 bucks for the pleasure of owning a pair.
Thought I’d also mention that Dirnt is neither vegan or vegetarian although he has been nominated several times for Peta2’s “Sexiest Vegetarian” award.
