Markbass, the Italian Bass Amp production company have announced the launch of seven brand spanking new effects pedals, each of which has been design specificaly for bass guitars, all of which feature a true bypass, so when they are disengaged, the signal goes from input jack to output jack of each pedal without any degredation of quality.
The range comprises of the ‘Compresore’ - a valve compressor equipped with everything you would expect on a professional outboard compressor and the ‘Distosore’ with the Gain control for input, Tube drive for distortion intensity and the Mix control provides a way to balance betweeen the two.
The ‘Super Booster’ pedal adds the Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator(VLF) and Vintage Pre-shape Filter(VPF) filters that Markbass amp users will already be familiar with to an out-board pedal. Rock and slap bass players will love this pedal.
The Markbass ‘Octaver’ does exactly what it says on the tin, featuring seperate controls, switches and outputs for each octave and the ‘Riverbero’ pedal offers natural adjustable reverb that can then be fine tuned with pre-delay and decay controls. The stereo presets are all modifiable in real time as are the ones with the Chorus Flanger pedal, where the mix control allows you to carefully blend your dry and effected sound.
The ‘Super Synth’ offers cool sounds with no tracking delay. Set the sensitivity level to match how hard or softly you play, and the pedal tracks your playing quickly and accurately. Sounds include wavetable, analogue, and FM-style synth bass sounds as well as delay effects, envelope filters and more.
The Markbass ‘Super Pro DI box’ shows the makers understanding of the needs and wants of a recording or live sound engineer and they have worked hard to produce a state-of-the-art passive direct box that gives them what they need.
With the Reverbero, the Chorus/Flanger and the Super Synth , the preset parameters can be modified on your own computer using the supplied Markbass software and can be downloaded back to the pedal from your computer via the USB connection.
Thenew Markbass effects are available immediately, through leading UK bass retailers courtesy of Proel (International).
