ABOVE : G Major Scale (also named G Ionian Scale)
BELOW : C Major Scale (also named C Ionian Scale)
The C Major Scale is the easiest major scale to write or play as it contains only whole notes, no sharps or flats.
You should practise your scales so you know them off by heart. After a while when you are comfortable with the scale you should look to playing the same scale in 3 different positions on the fretboard in the same octave.
Note : You will need a second fingering pattern to perform the 3rd variation, see if you can work it out.
- Listnin' 2 Blind Melon's 2nd album 'Soup' after re-reading about sad death of Hoon in '95. Great Album, some stuning bass work on here too..
